Buying real estate in cryptocurrency

MHA-Consult is a partner of MHA-Invest, which has an account with a regulated cryptocurrency exchange, which will enable an investor to buy real estate using his or her cryptocurrency.

Once the investor has decided which property he wishes to buy and that he wishes to pay for it using cryptocurrency, MHA-Consult informs him of the amount of cryptocurrency required to sign (1) the Preliminary Contract, and (2) the Deed of Sale.

MHA-Consult sends the investor an invoice in Euros with its equivalent in cryptocurrency.

The investor will have a single account specific to this transaction. Only the following cryptocurrencies can be used for the transaction:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Tether (USDT)
  • USD Coin (USDC)

Given the volatility of the market, the invoice is live online and is regularly updated.

The investor sends the cryptocurrency directly to the cryptocurrency exchange, where it is automatically sold into USD, converted into euros and then sent directly by the cryptocurrency exchange to the lawyer or notary handling the purchase.  On receipt of the funds, the Preliminary Contract or the Deed of Sale will be completed.

The cryptocurrency exchange uses AML technology, which is recognised by a number of different supervisory authorities, to validate the legitimacy of the cryptocurrency. If this cannot be validated by the exchange, the cryptocurrency will be returned directly to the investor.
